Book Lovers Wanted!
The BookCellar used book store needs people who love books and want to help others find new favorites. The volunteer job description includes shelving books, tidying shelves, assisting customers, looking up Dewey system numbers, filling displays, and (after training) operating the register. Your work will help raise funds to support the San Antonio Public Library! For more information, or to volunteer, please contact the BookCellar Manager at [email protected].

Thousands of new and recycled books are waiting for you in the BookCellar. Adult and children's fiction, nonfiction, foreign language, rare and selected volumes, audio and videos, magazines, the BookCellar has them all, and more.
Book donations accepted, as described above. Parking, up to 3 hours is free, and over 3 hours is $5 in the Central Library Garage with validated parking ticket. All proceeds benefit the San Antonio Public Library System and the Library Friends activities.
The BookCellar is a Friends volunteer activity. Volunteers are always welcome. Volunteer schedules are adjustable and free parking is provided. To volunteer, donate books or other materials, call (210) 227-9519 during business hours.
